Type your text above and the sticker appears at its real proportions, drawn at 300 dots per inch. Pick a size, a font and colors, add a border or your own logo, and download a PDF that prints at exactly the sticker's size, or a PNG that records 300 dpi. It's free, with no signup or watermark, and nothing you type or add is uploaded.
Designing a sticker people can read
A bumper sticker is read from a distance, often for a moment, so less is more:
- Few words, big letters. The main text grows to fill the sticker; the shorter it is, the larger it gets. A long line splits onto two lines on its own when that makes the letters bigger.
- Strong contrast. Light text on a dark background, or dark on light. The color pickers take any color, so match a brand or a team.
- A second line for a website, a name or a smaller punchline. It sits under the main text at a bit less than half its size.
- A border frames the design inside the edge, in the text color.
Sizes
The maker offers 11.5 × 3, 10 × 3, 7.5 × 3.75, 10 × 4 and 6 × 2 inches, or a custom size from 2 × 1 to 24 × 12 inches. Text and pictures stay at least 0.2 inch inside the edge, so a slightly uneven cut never clips a letter.
| Size | Pixels at 300 dpi |
|---|---|
| 11.5 × 3 in | 3,450 × 900 |
| 10 × 3 in | 3,000 × 900 |
| 7.5 × 3.75 in | 2,250 × 1,125 |
| 10 × 4 in | 3,000 × 1,200 |
| 6 × 2 in | 1,800 × 600 |
Print-ready files
- PDF: one page the exact size of the sticker, or 1/4 inch larger each way with bleed. Print it at 100% (Actual size), not Fit to page.
- PNG: the same artwork at 300 dpi, with the resolution recorded in the file, so design and print programs that read it place it at the right size.
Print shops commonly ask for 300 pixels per inch at the printed size, which is what both files have. If a printer asks for bleed, turn on the 1/8 in bleed: the background extends past the trim line shown in the preview, and the printer cuts it away.
Logos and pictures
Add a picture or logo and it sits on the left or right, as tall as the sticker allows, with the text beside it. A logo with a transparent background blends into the sticker's color; to take the white box off a logo, use the logo background remover first. For a die-cut sticker shaped like a photo of your pet or product, with a white border around it, use the sticker maker.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a custom bumper sticker?
Type your text, pick a size, font and colors, and add a logo if you want one. The preview is the sticker itself, drawn at 300 dpi. Download the PDF or the PNG and print it, or send it to a print shop.
What size can the sticker be?
Choose 11.5 × 3, 10 × 3, 7.5 × 3.75, 10 × 4 or 6 × 2 inches, or type any size from 2 × 1 to 24 × 12 inches. Check the size your printer or sticker sheet takes before you order or print.
How do I print it at the right size?
Open the PDF and print at 100%, called Actual size in most print dialogs, not Fit to page. The PDF page is exactly the sticker's size. Print on sticker paper or printable vinyl, or send the PDF to a print shop; the PNG records 300 dpi for printers that ask for an image.
What is bleed, and do I need it?
Bleed is extra background past the edge that is trimmed off, so a cut that's slightly off leaves no white sliver. Turn on the 1/8 in bleed if your printer asks for it: each side gets 1/8 inch more background, and the preview shows the trim line.
Can I put a logo or picture on it?
Yes. Choose a picture and it sits on the left or right, sized to the sticker's height, with the text beside it. A logo with a transparent background looks best; if yours sits on a white box, remove the background first.
Is it free?
Yes, with no signup and no watermark. The sticker is drawn in your browser, so your text and pictures are not uploaded.
